Classified as an “Autocycle” under FMVSS/NHTSA standards, the FP3 can retain its true formula-car proportions and purpose; bringing an authentic formula-car experience to the street.

Every RYN FP3 includes a factory four-wheel conversion kit that can be installed anytime after delivery. The F3 is delivered in a three-wheel configuration to streamline the initial registration process, and once registered, the four-wheel setup can be installed; fully unlocking the F3s potential of 2.6 later Gs, 1700lbs of downforce and lap times faster than a GT3RS.

Traditional passenger-car FMVSS regulations make a true formula-car design impossible. They require structures, systems, and dimensions that fundamentally reshape the vehicle. Autocycles, however, follow motorcycle-based FMVSS rules, which govern essentials like lighting, brakes, and tires while allowing the aerodynamic shape, visibility, and proportions of an authentic formula car to remain intact.

By designing the FP3 around the Autocycle framework and working directly with regulators from the very beginning, we were able to meet every requirement without compromising the experience.

Carbon Fiber Semi-Monocoque

Every RYN FP3 features a carbon-fiber semi monocoque; taking a space frame base, and heavily reinforcing it with thick layers of carbon fiber. This dramatically increases rigidity, crash resistance, and torsional strength. While a traditional space-frame chassis can handle roughly 3,000 lbs of twisting force, our semi-monocoque is engineered to withstand over 15,000 lbs. The result is a chassis that is exponentially stiffer, safer, and more responsive.

Open Suspension

Another defining trait of a true formula car is its open suspension. Exposing the suspension arms reduces frontal drag, cleans up airflow to the wings, floor, and sidepods, and delivers far better aerodynamic efficiency overall. It also provides direct brake cooling and allows for a rigid, uncompromised suspension geometry. Creating a more immediate connection between the contact patch, chassis, and driver.

Yes absolutely. If you ever change your mind, you can cancel your reservation at any time and receive a full refund. When your reservation slot, we’ll reach out to review your custom configuration, and you can decide then whether you’d like to move forward.

Once we reach your reservation slot, our team will contact you to:

Confirm your configuration
Finalize your remaining balance (cash or financing)
Begin production of your vehicle (estimated 2–4 weeks)

Your F3 will then be shipped to you in the 3-wheel autocycle configuration, along with the 4-wheel conversion kit and your title

It’s as simple as registering any other vehicle.

Once your FP3 is complete, we handle the title application with your local DMV. Your title will be mailed straight to you (or directly to your lender if needed).

Insurance is very straightforward. The RYN FP3 is classified as an autocycle, and almost all major insurance companies offer autocycle coverage. You can contact your provider to confirm, and we can also provide a list of carriers who offer coverage. IMPORTANT If you drive the 4 wheel configuration on the street you NEED to let your insurance know. They may have to make adjustments to your policy. If you do not do this, your insurance may not cover you in the case of a claim

Every FP3 is delivered as a 3-wheel autocycle, which places it under motorcycle-class FMVSS regulations.

This means that legally, it’s treated the same way as other autocycles like the Polaris Slingshot or Vanderhall; making the title and registration process simple and predictable.

Going with a 3-wheel design allows us to classify the FP3 as an autocycle, which means:

A smooth, hassle-free registration process
Nationwide road legality
Clear rules for VIN issuance and compliance

This is the same proven approach used by other performance autocycles on the road today.

The RYN FP3 is street legal in all 50 states and meets all required federal and state regulations.

We’re required to deliver the FP3 in the 3-wheel version to meet FMVSS autocycle standards. Once you receive your vehicle, you’re free to install the 4-wheel conversion kit whenever you'd like. It is designed for the track to unlock full formula-car performance. It’s an aftermarket part and is technically not FMVSS-compliant, which is why we can’t install it pre-delivery, just like most aftermarket parts such as coilovers, exhausts, or racing harnesses.

Using the 4-wheel version on the street:

Registration: Registration renewal is based on VIN and required equipment, all of which remain unchanged. Even in states that require inspection, those generally check lights, mirrors, brakes, and safety equipment. Inspection practices vary by state, but the vehicle’s registered configuration renewal process does not
Insurance: You must inform your insurer of the aftermarket conversion. Policies may need to be adjusted. In some cases we’ve even seen rates decrease due to the added stability of the 4-wheel setup.
Possible concerns: In rare cases a very knowledgeable officer could write a ticket for an “illegal modification,” similar to an exhaust ticket. This is uncommon and often a “fix-it ticket” where proof of returning to the 3-wheel setup resolves it

We manufacture our own proprietary monocoques and assemble the full vehicle at our Austin facility.

The RYN FP3 uses a high performance 1100cc Aprilia motorcycle engine designed for light weight and high revs (the same engine in the 2026 Aprilia RSV4). You can learn more about the engine specifics in our technical specifications

Almost every state does not require a motorcycle license for autocycles, including the RYN FP3. The only state that requires a motorcycle license is Massachusetts

220hp and 1140 lbs means it has a power to weight ratio of 5.18 lbs/hp. That's a better power to weight ratio than a Porsche GT3RS of 6.06 lbs/hp. The RYN FP3 does 0-60 mph in 2.8 seconds and can pull over 2.6 lateral Gs cornering. For comparison, the GT3RS achieves around 1.9 lateral Gs.

We put a lot of effort into safety on the RYN FP3. Carrying over some of the modern safety practices used by the FIA. Here are some of the main examples:

On top of that, driving with a certified helmet and neck brace greatly aids in safety.

While it probably won't be the most… typical… daily driver, it is definitely possible. There is nothing with the car itself that would limit you from driving it every day. It really comes down to your preferences. There is limited storage and a lot less weather protection in comparison to a normal passenger car but anything can be a daily driver if you're brave enough.

Yes! We have extensively optimized the FP3 to be an incredibly capable track car. We’d recommend having the 4 wheel conversion kit installed to maximize track performance and stability.

The RYN FP3 will come with a manual that breaks down all service requirements and intervals. You can complete the work yourself or have it completed at one of our authorized service shops. A few of the common service intervals are as follows

Engine Oil and filter: 1 year or 3,000 miles (whichever comes first)
Brake fluid change: 2 years or 10,000 miles (whichever comes first)
Differential fluid: 3 years or 15,000 miles (whichever comes first)
Spark plugs: 5 years or 40,000 miles (whichever comes first)
