The RYN Motors prototype turned heads across Austin this week as it made an early public appearance. A major milestone for the company and for enthusiasts watching the development of what many consider the first truly street-legal, formula-inspired performance machine.
Built around Formula 4 proportions, the prototype completed a series of real-world tests, from neighborhood driving to controlled acceleration runs. Early testers described it as “unlike anything else on the road,” citing its visceral chassis feel, razor-sharp steering, and explosive acceleration. Even at low speeds, the open suspension and high-downforce aero created a uniquely raw experience.
Austin residents got an unexpected look as the single-seat, open-wheel machine carved through the city. With public-road testing complete, additional evaluation, especially further track track, is expected soon. Early signs point to RYN Motors entering the market with one of the closest formula-car experiences ever certified for the street.
More developments are expected as testing continues in Austin.
