RYN Motors has begun fitting the first major body panels to the FP3, marking another significant step as the vehicle moves closer to its final production form.
The first components now taking shape include the FP3’s leg enclosure, nose cone, and rear wing, giving the platform its first look at the bodywork that will ultimately define the finished vehicle.
Unlike outsourcing the initial body development, RYN Motors is designing and creating the entire first FP3 body in house. “This allows our team to rapidly develop, fit, test, and refine each component directly around the vehicle as engineering and testing continue.” said Noah Juliano, Co Founder and Head of Mechanics at RYN.
The complete FP3 body will ultimately be constructed from carbon fiber, keeping weight to a minimum while allowing RYN to create bodywork specifically around the packaging, aerodynamic, and structural requirements of the platform.
These first panels are an important part of that development process. Fitment, mounting, clearances, serviceability, and overall design can now be evaluated on the physical vehicle before the remaining bodywork is completed.
Over the coming weeks, additional panels will continue to be added as the FP3 transitions from its exposed development chassis into the recognizable form of the production vehicle.
Seeing the nose cone, leg enclosure, and rear wing come together represents more than a visual milestone. It is another step toward bringing every major system of the FP3 together into one complete vehicle.
