RYN Motors has officially completed the finalized beta chassis for the FP3, marking a major milestone in the development of its street legal formula platform.
The beta chassis represents the culmination of extensive engineering work focused on structural integrity, load path optimization, and occupant protection. Throughout development, RYN prioritized safety as the primary design driver, ensuring that the foundation of the FP3 meets demanding real-world conditions before advancing into full performance validation.
Significant effort was dedicated to analyzing and refining load paths across the chassis to properly distribute forces during both normal driving and high-stress scenarios. In parallel, rollover geometry and structural clearances were carefully engineered to maximize driver protection while maintaining the FP3’s low, aggressive formula proportions.
“From the beginning, we made a conscious decision to prioritize safety above everything else,” said the RYN Motors team. “Performance is critical, but it only matters if the underlying structure is solid and predictable. This chassis is designed to give drivers confidence at the limit.”
With the initial beta chassis now complete, RYN Motors is preparing to begin mechanical shakedown testing next week. This phase will focus on validating core systems, chassis behavior, and overall vehicle stability before aerodynamic components are introduced.
Data and insights gathered during shakedown testing will directly inform further refinements as the FP3 moves closer to customer production.
RYN Motors will continue to share updates as testing progresses and as the beta program advances into its next phase.
